LARRYSSON 2012 UNSMOKED HANDMADE DRIP WAX STRAIGHT/RING GRAIN BLAST ESTATE PIPE

I don't use the "M" word often, but I have to say this Wax Drip from Larrysson is magnificent! Yes, another very, very hard pipe not to keep and put into my collection. While Larrysson is of Scandinavian descent, he lives in Cornwall England and crafts unique and exceptional pipes that are not only visually amazing but well known for their superb engineering and fantastic smoking qualities. He uses no grading system, each well aged briar made to the highest of standards and is known for his Drip Wax pipes as seen here. This same pipe is actually featured on Pipedia as his banner piece as well, neat! Made in 2012, it remains unsmoked. The design is not only captivating, but it feels awesome in hand and sports a stout shape with a rim that reminds me of a Mastro De Paja leading to a relatively modest chamber. I suppose it could be considered a Billiard, but there is so much more going on than that. Shank is extra thick and has more drip wax carving at the face where it holds a faux amber stem almost tortoise shell with straight bit. The finish on the drip wax is natural with only carnuba and these pictures do not show how stunning the grain is! Ultra fine angel hair straight shows on the smooth while underneath is ring grain blast that is as uniform as imaginable. Comes complete with original sock, this is a true collectors piece, yet also a very fine smoker I'm sure if you can bring yourself to fire her up!
