SER JACOPO UNSMOKED LIMITED EDITION "CALUMET" ESTATE PIPE WITH ORNATE STERLING

Description

I've had quite a few interesting and special Ser Jacopo over the years, but I think this Calumet takes the cake! Giancarlo apparently studied Native American's quite extensively and wanted to make a pipe to celebrate that history so he came out with two shapes that reflect the peace pipe profile and are made in extremely limited numbers. This is the sandblast finish and my favorite shape out of the two as I am very fond of precious metals on my pipes and the Sterling Silver work here is exceptional and done in the same micro-fusion method used on the Domina series. The bowl is free-form apple shaped yet more on the oval side which offers nice hand feel while offering tons of briar around the relatively modest chamber that still affords healthy capacity. This apple sits atop a long Cavalier like shank but is not drilled through on the bottom end but extends to meet the ornately carved piece at the base. To the other end the shank extends longer and is adorned with a larger silver carving with Native American design that adds brilliance to this pipe. Stem is hand-cut acrylic with slight fishtail bit and inlaid silver "J" logo. The finish is a warm Tanshell type while the blast displays amazing 360 degree uniform ring grain, wow! Awaiting it's first smoke and comes with sock, this Ser Jacopo is not only a very fine and functional pipe but also a collectible and surely will not disappoint!
